The organizational structure of DEKOM STEEL is – “Functional Divisional” which represent the “inside” of our business. Our divisional structure is divided into structural units.
The departmentalization in our company is going only by products and market segments. For example, the product model is based on allocating groups of employees around steel, iron ore, coal, ferroalloys and others.
Advantages of the divisional model:
- Focusing on specific industrial areas helps quickly identify weaknesses and respond to problems.
- Closing ineffective departments due to constantly developing innovations does not affect the work of other structural elements.
- High independence of Divisions and decision makers.
- A high degree of communication between vertical and horizontal elements allows us to quickly adapt to changes.
In addition to standard functional structures, curators of individual projects (sometimes brought in from outside of DEKOM STEEL), based on Agency agreement and participate in managing the company’s sales and procurement activities. This leads to one of the main distinctive features of such a system - performers can have several managers of the same level at once. Despite the fact that the function of making decisions is concentrated in the hands of the functional manager, the Project manager can influence the situation to achieve the best result.
The business structure of DEKOM STEEL, allows to form a clear idea of the required competencies of personnel. We take this into account when hiring new employees. All our employees are well informed about career prospects in the company.
